1st Letchworth Garden City Company

We have faith in young people and provide opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith.

There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or team challenges, first aid or games, music or crafts. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities – sharing the values that make us who we are.

Anchor Boys from 5 - 8 years, the Junior Section 8 - 10 years meet on a Friday evening from 5-6.30pm

Company Section aged 11 – 14 years and a Senior Section for 15+ meet on Friday evenings 6.15-8pm during term time. 

Church parades are held alternate months on a Friday evening in the hall. Parents and Church family friends join us for a short 30 minute service which the children lead.  Parents are encouraged to support us, especially when we have our ‘Open Evening’ when boys are presented with badges and then give a display of work learned during the year.

We are part of the West Anglia Battalion of the Boys' Brigade and have the opportunity to join with other companies in the area for competitions and activities throughout the year.

During the summer we follow a varied programme of outdoor activities, and have an annual 'camp' for a week in various different seaside locations.
